Volunteering Frankston Awards

AWARDS

Frankston City Council's Volunteering Frankston recognises community organisations and individual volunteers at the annual Volunteering Frankston Awards.

Recognition Award: An award will be presented to the winners of each of the six recognition categories - Service, Leadership, Environmental or Animal Welfare, Youth/Youth Groups, Seniors/Senior Community Groups and Teamwork.

Organisations will need to submit a separate form for each volunteer nominated.

$1,000 Prize Award: will be awarded to a community group.                                                  

Community Groups may only nominate for the monetary prize award if they have nominated at least one of their volunteers for a Recognition Award. 

Please note that community groups can choose not to self-nominate for the $1,000 prize award and only nominate individual volunteers for Recognition Awards.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility criteria apply to both volunteers and organisations entering the Volunteering Frankston Awards.

NOTE: To nominate a volunteer or organisation, the nominated organisation must be registered with Volunteering Frankston.

Please note that community groups may only enter a nomination for the $1,000 prize award if they have nominated at least one volunteer from their organisation for a Recognition Award.

All entries must meet the eligibility criteria outlined below. Please consider the eligibility criteria below prior to completing a nomination.

Please choose a category you wish to nominate your volunteer for from the list below and complete the relevant nomination form specific to your category.

 

ELIGIBILITY - VOLUNTEERS FOR RECOGNITION AWARDS

To be eligible for consideration, the volunteer must:

  • volunteer their services in Frankston City or volunteer to benefit the Frankston City Community;
  • be a current volunteer of a community organisation or not-for-profit group in Frankston City;
  • have received no remuneration for services directly associated with their volunteer work;
  • have given permission to be nominated for the Recognition Award;
  • be willing to publicly accept their Recognition Award.

 

ELIGIBILITY - COMMUNITY GROUPS FOR $1,000 PRIZE AWARD

To be eligible for consideration, the organisation must:

  • be a not-for-profit entity 
  • nominate at least one volunteer from their organisation for the Recognition Awards;
  • provide services in Frankston City, or services that benefit the Frankston City Community;
  • be an independent entity;
  • have given permission to be nominated for the Prize Award by the Organisation Representative;
  • have an Organisation Representative willing to publicly accept the Prize Award and
  • be registered with Volunteering Frankston

 

JUDGING - VOLUNTEERS

Each entry will be assessed based on the level of impact the volunteer has had in relation to the category in which they are nominated.

JUDGING - COMMUNITY GROUPS

Community groups who choose to nominate themselves for the $1,000 monetary prize will be judged based on how their answers to the questions demonstrate the impact of the organisation over the last 12 months, and the impact the monetary prize will have on their organisation for the next 12 months.
